How To Get A Six Pack
Many times over do trainers have to answer the question of how to get a six pack and the answer isn’t as straight forward as many people would like.

The first shock for many people is when they are told it’s going to take a lot of hard work…a rude awakening for some, but why anyone would think that they could do a few exercises and all of a sudden have a ripped torso God only knows!

If you really want to know how to get a six pack then there are three areas that you have to focus on and they are nutrition, cardiovascular work and of course abdominal exercise only when you combine those three will you see great results. You can work your butt off doing abdominal exercises but if you are not eating correctly and burning fat correctly then it will all be in vain as great definition will not be possible.

Why Nutrition is So Important in When Working Towards a Six Pack

Having the right type of nutrition is absolutely vital when trying to obtain a great physique, an abundance of nutrients will provide your body, and in particular, your muscles, with everything it needs for the right type of growth…in short, if you eat processed foods containing little in the way of nutrition yet high in calories it will leave you with an unhealthy body. You will actually be able to eat far more by choosing your diet wisely and eating fresh healthy produce packed full of nutrients that will help your body become leaner and healthier.

Choosing a good diet that provides great nutrition is the only way to get rid of one of the biggest problems that people encounter when trying to get the perfect six pack and that is the thin, final layer of fat that lies across your midriff, covering your abdominal muscles. This layer of fat may not be very thick but it is usually thick enough to make the difference between people saying – ‘he’s got a six pack’ and ‘WOW, check out his definition!’…it really does make that much of a difference. Anyway, nutrition and diet is a huge subject and I wouldn’t be doing it, or you, any favors by trying to cover it in a couple of paragraphs, so you should check out my other posts or categories which go into more detail…however…

Why Do You Need to Do Cardiovascular Work As Well As Muscle Building Exercise?

Many hardened body-builders will say that cardiovascular exercises such as walking, running and cycling are not beneficial to muscle growth and to be completely honest, to some degree, they are correct.

Cardiovascular, or aerobic exercise, is an essential part of getting a well-defined six pack because when they are combined with a good nutritious diet they will help circulation, build endurance and burn fat, all essential factors when trying to obtain the perfect six pack. As with nutrition and diet, the subject of cardiovascular exercise is huge so check my other posts for more detailed info.

What Exercises Are Deemed To Be the Best For Building a Six Pack?

Okay…who saw the title and looked for this section first? For those of you who did you had best go back up to the beginning of this post and start reading because if you don’t you’ll never get the six pack abs you are obviously desperate for! For those of you who have reached this section the right way I salute you for wanting to correctly understand exactly how to get a six pack!

Anyway, to answer the question of which exercises you should be using to achieve the best six pack possible you must first understand that there are not just one or two exercises you need to be doing, and this is the reason why.

Your abdominal muscles do not just consist of the muscles that you can see directly under the skin, oh no, they are built three layers thick. The inner most layer of muscles are called the transversus abdominus, the next layer are called the rectus abdominis and the final layer of muscles, which are the nearest to the skin, are called the obliques which also consist of internal and external muscles.

In short, there are a lot of muscles to be worked on, and each group of muscles performs a different function which means there are a large number of exercises required….therefore, pushing out crunches day after day just isn’t going to give you the perfect six pack on it’s own, even if crunches are ONE of the best exercises for abs!

Unfortunately, you are going to get a little p***** with me here because I’m again going to tell you that abdominal exercises is too big a subject to cover in one post so you know what you will need to do….

However, one thing I would suggest you do before you go, is to check out my review of Mike Chang’s Six Pack Shortcuts Program.

‘SPS’, as I like to call it, is a great new program that concentrates on the whole deal…nutrition, cardiovascular and abdominal exercises, and aims to get you to your goal in only three months…so if you want to know about the best and fastest way to get a six pack, give my review a read!

Catch up later,

Vince
