Dumbbell Back Exercises

Having those ripped six packed abs, takes determination and a lot of hard work and the six pack shortcuts program doesn’t try to hide that fact. One would need to stay on a strict diet and go by a planned ritual of workouts. These workouts would include core and muscle exercises that strengthen the body but that target specifically the stomach and back. Included in this are basic exercises like the crunches and more diverse workouts like dumbbell back exercises.

Dumbbell back exercises

Dumbbell back exercises provide one’s abs and back with a great workout and this is why dumbbells have long been used by people wanting to increase their muscle mass. The use of dumbbells has proved to be a key element in many muscle builders arsenal. The use of dumbbells provides a boost in the range of motion, plus a marked increased in muscle strength.

When doing dumbbell back exercises do remember to do an effective warm-up routine. Doing so will prepare your body for the rigorous activity that you are about to put it through. Ensure you know which weight of dumbbell is the best for you for your current strength levels, this will avoid any possible injuries whilst doing the dumbbell back exercises. Needless to say, and don’t laugh about this…I’m 100% serious…another thing you should try to avoid is throwing the dumbbells around! They are heavy and will do some damage to either property or more seriously yourself or someone else!

The following exercises are great for improving your back strength and improve your core muscles, and although the six pack shortcuts program doesn’t require the use of resistance training that requires equipment. In my opinion though, I think that the use of equipment like dumbells will certainly help you increase muscle mass faster.

1. The Dumbbell Power Clean and Press.

Keep your feet at least a foot apart, and have a dumbbell next to each of your ankles with your palms tightly gripped on each one. If you haven’t done so already, bend your knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor, but still keeping your arms straight and your chin up. Slowly inhale and in one continuous movement bring the dumbbells in front shoulder high, and then turn them over to face each other while your elbows are at your sides. Inhale again, push the dumbbells above your head and hold that position for at least five seconds. Then exhale, lower the dumbbells to your shoulders.

Although the video below isn’t exactly as I describe above (there are so many different variations of this dumbbell back exercise!) it will give you a pretty good idea.

2. The Dumbbell Split Clean.

Another good dumbbell back exercise is the dumbbell split clean. Stand with your feet at least a foot apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand. Keeping your arms by your side, bend your knees until the dumbbells are just below your knees and keep your chin up. This position is called the deadlift position. Straighten your knees quickly whilst at the same time lifting the dumbells to your shoulders, as if jumping upwards and then when you are at the top of the movement and fully extended you split your legs, moving one leg forward, whilst the other is pushed behind you, both with kness bent…the lunge stance. From this position slowly stand up, once upright, lower the dumbells to your sides. This completes the rep.

3. The Dumbbell Squat Clean.

The Dumbbell Squat Clean is another good dumbbell back exercise. This exercise is quite easy and you should have no problems with it at all. Rather than provide you with a written explanation of the exercise I’ll just be lazy and tell you to watch the video below…I know, I’m terrible aren’t I?

If you want to add dumbbell exercises to your muscle strengthening routine you will of course need some dumbbells…you can check out some of the most popular dumbbells below:

If you decide to add dumbbell exercises to your exercise regime then it is a good idea to buy a good, quality set of dumbells that can be easily adjusted so as to increase the load when your strength increases.

Solid, one piece dumbells are of course cheaper, but you will have to keep buying HEAVIER dumbbells as you progress which can actually end up being more expensive in the long run!

Plus, if you decide to call it a day, and I sincerely hope you don’t, quality dumbbells will hold their sell on value better.

Dumbbell Back Exercises can significantly help you strengthen your core muscles but will be far more effective when used in conjunction with the Six Pack Shortcuts program…for more information…CLICK HERE!

All the best…Vince
