Two Lower Back Exercises for Men
The Front Plank
One good lower back exercise for men that we recommend is the front plank. This lower body exercise targets the spine or the back and the transverse abdominis. There is no need for any special equipment. You will need to lie on your stomach with your elbows near your sides and under your shoulders. Your palms should be down and fingers should be facing forward, your feet should be stepped back with your legs straight. Make sure that your neck is in line your spine.
Gradually raise your torso off the floor at the same time as your thighs. Make sure you keep your body parts rigid and do not allow any drooping from your ribcage. Inhale and exhale as your abs are pressed to support your back. Try holding this position for 15 to 30 seconds, or for as long as possible. When lowering the body, try to maintain the the tension in your torso and legs.
